It was razed during the construction of the CUB. Designed by John Maloney in modern functional style, the Compton Union Building (CUB) was built in 1951 at a cost of $3 million and named for Wilson Compton, WSU President 1944 to 1951. The CUB was financed by the Regents through bond issues totaling $2,613,000, with the remaining funds contributed by the Associated Students (ASSCW). In 1969, a major renovation added an additional floor to the building including hotel rooms.
