Description

Female students dressed in white, dance around poles in front of Old Science Hall. Seated viewers watch the performance; a row of cars is parked in front of Old Science Hall. Old Science Hall, WSU building #33, was designed by G. W. Bullard (also the architect of Ferry Hall) and built in 1899 at a cost of $60,000. Old Science Hall housed the botany and zoology laboratories, and a veterinary operating room also used for livestock judging competitions. When Old Science Hall's functions were taken over by New Science Hall in the 1930s, it served for a time as the Arts building and is currently occupied by the Edward R. Murrow School of Communication.
