Description
1 map; 32 x 29 cm. <br>From June 1st, 1905 to October 15th, 1905, Portland, Oregon hosted the Lewis and Clark Centennial Exposition. The world's fair garnered just under two and a half million admissions, made a hefty profit for its investors, and was boasted to have attracted 100,000 new residents to Portland. This map comes from a promotional brochure put together by the Portland Chamber of Commerce to coincide with the fair. The low lying land the exposition took place upon was eventually buried by landfill because of flood risks, so the site of the expo no longer exists today in its original condition.
