Subject

Description

1 map; 25 x 50 cm. <br>"Scale: 1000 ft. = 1 inch"<br>The area on this map is located about 30 miles upstream from North Bend, Wa. on the Middle Fork of the Snoqualmie River. The hot springs mentioned on the map is Goldmyer Hot Springs.<br>Apparently the "Sure Thing" didn't pan out that well. The towns of Dainesville and Frisco never really came to be, and the majority of the mining done on the Middle Fork of the Snoqualmie was timber mining. The area shown on this map is almost as inaccessible today as it was in the early 1900s.
