Old Gym was originally built in 1901, though part of it had

been built in 1892 as the Crib.

Science Hall was built in 1901. It was renamed Murrow Hall

in 1972. This photo seems to have been taken facing

south-east, from a Thompson Hall window.

Van Doren Hall was built in 1908. The 1911 date is

taken from the postmark.

Silver Lake was created in 1899- it is a man-made lake.

Silver Lake was filled in in the early 1920s, and Mooberry

Track is now located where Silver Lake was.

Van Doren Hall and the Bryan Hall clock tower can be

seen on the hill…

Assuming the name on the picture was written at the time


this picture was taken, this picture comes from 1916 or


later. Though Bryan Hall was built in 1909, it did not


receive that name until 1916.
